Marcialonga Cycling Craft is part of the international Gran Fondo World Tour series
Years of cycling up and down Italy's Dolomites in Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa (Trentino region) and the Marcialonga Cycling Craft road event is still going strong. On 12 June, the Italian granfondo race will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and 'there are at least 10 good reasons to join our event', local OC points out.
First of all, reduced entry fees – 30 Euro only – for those who register before Monday 9 May. Every participant in Marcialonga Cycling Craft 2016 receives a race package that surely meets all expectations of value. It includes a CRAFT branded backpack as the main item, but the bag also contains pasta Felicetti and local Trentingrana cheese packs, an Enervit water bottle plus energy bar, a multi-use Sportler headband, WD-40 oil, Blistex lip balm stick, Ozone saddle gel, Nuncas detersive and the participation medal plus two lunch vouchers to join the pasta party after the race.
Both courses have been confirmed by the Italian organisers, a 135 km-long Granfondo itinerary facing the three Lavazè, San Pellegrino and Valles alpine passes plus the Mount San Pietro tough climb and the spectacular routes across the provinces of Trento, Bolzano and Belluno. The so-called ‘Long course’ reads 3.279 meters total climb, while the Mediofondo one offers 80 km as a whole including Lavazé Pass, Mount San Pietro and 1.894 meters total climb.
Among the big names already registered in 2016 Marcialonga Cycling Craft there is the Austrian champion, member of the Italian team ASD Avesani, Christiane Koschier.
Italy's Marcialonga Cycling Craft race is part of the Gran Fondo World Tour series that also runs in Barcelona, Oslo, Kazakhstan, Colorado and Kuwait. All news and info plus interesting projects such as 'Embody Nature' are on the official Marcialonga web-page www.marcialonga.it.
