THE TRENTINO REGION AWAITS THE 10th CYCLING CRAFT

On Sunday, 12th of June, the 10th Marcialonga Cycling Craft in Fiemme e Fassa (Trentino - Italy)
Several side-events with “La Bicicletta” welcome drink and the “Nutella Party” for children

The Marcialonga Cycling Craft, taking place next Sunday 12 June, is not only an extremely important cycling race but also a two-day event not to be missed in the valleys of Fiemme and Fassa in Trentino,  characterized by fun and well-being, both for athletes and supporters. On Saturday 11 June, Predazzo will host the traditional Bike Expo for all cycling enthusiasts and the fourth Minicycling promo race for kids, a gimkana in Predazzo town centre with a different number of laps according to the category. Fun and entertainment will be guaranteed by the “Clown di Corsia”, a group of “Patch Adams” that will cheer up young competitors at the arrival. A delicious aperitif served in the main square with live music will follow at 6.00 p.m.
The Marcialonga Cycling Craft will start off in Predazzo on Sunday 12 June at 8.00 a.m. when cyclists will jump on their saddles and enjoy both 80k and 135k courses with an elevation gain of 3279 metres. The Bike Expo will be open all day long and the fun for children will continue with a “Nutella Party” at 10.00 a.m. and many entertainment activities such as face painting, baby dance and games organized by Progetto92 and L’Idea Spazio Giovani. At 12.00 the final “pasta party” in the Tennis Sporting Hall followed by the prize-giving ceremony: the ideal conclusion for another great event under the name of Marcialonga.
Many young cyclists will take part in the Marcialonga Cycling Craft, together with the ski-mountaineering champion Federico Nicolini (born in 1994) that has mountains in his DNA. Member of the Italian national team since 2009, in 2011 Federico won two gold medals at the world championships in Claut, ranking second in the World Cup. In 2015 he seized the bronze medal at the ski-mountaineering world championships in Verbier (SUI) in the Esporir category.
The Organizing Committee wishes Simone Tartacca, Federico Chiocchetti and Jozef Tomecko happy birthday as they will celebrate that important day by taking part in the Marcialonga Cycling Craft.
Entries are still open at 35 EUR until the 10th of June. Competitors may enrol also on Saturday at the race office with a surcharge of 5 EUR, including a rich race packet and the chance to win a Reacto 400 racing bike offered by the new partner Merida. An event not to be missed.
