MARCIALONGA FILLS UP WITH CYCLISTS

Italy’s Marcialonga is well used to big numbers. Last January’s ski marathon through Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa hosted over 7.000 ski lovers and cross country ski champions from all over the planet. Now that the snow is almost all gone, the Marcialonga Cycling Craft event (scheduled on May 29^th) gets ready to jump on the saddle for the fifth year. The race registration office is working day and night to collect new entries, and up to now, the road cycling race in Trentino region already collected 1.600 entries, officially breaking the previous record of 1.500.

As a matter of fact, the Marcialonga Cycling Craft event has always been very beloved. Its very first edition in 2007 saw around 1.400 athletes at the start, and managed to improve its figures year after year.

Next May’s race has set the entry limit at 2.000 competitors, so register early to avoid disappointment. Online registrations are open and the fees vary by the time of registration, namely €28 (by May 1st), €33 (May 2nd – 27th) and €40 (on Saturday May 28th only). Once the maximum of 2.000 cyclists is reached, entries will be closed.

The 2011 race entry pack contains the following: a Craft headbend, local products such as Trentingrana cheese, pasta Felicetti branded and cold cuts Casa Modena branded, Ozone cream, Blistex lipstick, Itas microfiber lens cleaning cloth, Enervit sport supplements and water bottle.
