14^ MARCIALONGA CRAFT: CONFIRMATIONS AND ANTICIPATIONS

Spring is the season that better represents the cycling season. This year, it seems that the start of the season is just for professional athletes and the amateur season is still in an uncertain situation due to the pandemic.
It is hard to say how the situation will evolve, but one thing is sure: Marcialonga, as well as many other races, is keeping on working to guarantee the race on the set date, 30 May 2021.

CONFIRMATIONS

Marcialonga remains stage of the most important Italian road-bike circuits: Nalini Road Series and Alè Challenge.

Registrations are still open and the reduced entry fee of 38,00€ is valid until 2 April, 2021.

ANTICIPATIONS

After the experience gathered at the running and skiing events, the organizing Committee is adapting the cycling race to the covid-protocols: the start and finish area will be moved out of the Predazzo town center to avoid gatherings.

At the end of May, we will experience road-biking at the highest level in Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. We are not only talking about Marcialonga Craft, but of the Giro d'Italia: Wednesday 26 May, Canazei will see the start of the 17th stage, with the pro-athletes from all over the world riding through the villages of the two valleys to reach Sega di Ala, the end of this Trentino stage.

TEAM HITEC PRODUCTS BECOMES TEAM COOP – HITEC PRODUCTS

Now that the cycling season is about to start, let's have a look at the professional scene, at the Team of one of the international partners supporting the Marcialonga events, Coop Norge. The Norwegian UCI women’s cycling team Team Hitec Products and the male UCI continental team Team Coop join forces. Coop Norge wants to take another step in the fight for equal opportunities in sports and strengthen its position in cycling. The teams will merge with immediate effect, and Team Hitec Products will change its name to Team Coop – Hitec Products. The team clothing will also undergo a change as soon as possible.
