46 days to go to the Marcialonga Running Coop, an increasingly popular running race.
The tenth edition of the Cycling Craft Granfondo is just over and the Marcialonga OC has immediately set to work for another event, the Running Coop, scheduled next September, 4th, the last race of the year and final challenge for the athletes, who will then know their final ranking in the combined event Punto3 Craft, gathering the results of the three Marcialonga events.
Runners will start from Moena in Val di Fassa (Trentino region - Italy), the traditional starting point of the cross-country skiing event that will celebrate its 44th birthday next January 29th, 2017. Competitors will then run through Val di Fiemme along the cycling route next to the Avisio river, and reach the centre of Cavalese after a demanding final climb that will lead them to the finish line after 26 kilometres. Entries for Marcialonga Running Coop are now open with a fee of 25 EUR until next July 28th, which will be lightly increased afterwards. The organising committee has also unveiled the special participation prize for every competitor, i.e. a special Run Belt, a must-have accessory for all runners: lightweight and functional with double pocket.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Cavalese centre: the top 10 runners of the overall ranking Men and Ladies will be awarded and the top 3 of the age categories. Special prizes also to the winners at the Sprint Enervit in Lago di Tesero and the Half-marathon Salomon in Masi di Cavalese. The team with the highest number of participants will receive a special prize offered by Sportler, whereas the first 3 men and ladies and the top 3 teams (men and women) of the Combined event Punto3 Craft 2016 (including cross-country skiing, cycling and running) will be awarded with the trophy offered by the title sponsor Craft.
On Saturday, September 3rd, the Minirunning will be held in the centre of Moena, a promotional non-competitive running race for kids from 6 to 12 years.
It is a moment of fun for residents, tourists and the children of the Marcialonga Running competitors, who could live the experience of running just like their parents.
Registrations for the Minirunning are possible at Moena, Navalge Theatre, where all children will receive a nice gift. The start is at 5:30 p.m. and the course is 600 metres long with no technical difficulty, so suitable also for the youngest.
