Last night Piazza SS Filippo and Giacomo in Predazzo (ITA), which celebrates the winners of Marcialonga Light in winter and the protagonists of Marcialonga Craft in summer, was crowded much more than expected for the election of the eighteenth Soreghina, the ambassador of the Marcialonga brand.
There were six girls for the role of Soreghina, all from Fiemme Valley and the jury found it difficult to choose the heir of Eleonora Dellantonio.
Just before midnight, the Scario of “Magnifica Comunità”, the president of Marcialonga Angelo Corradini and Daniele Tonet representing ITAS, which has always been a partner of the election, proclaimed Michela Delvai "Soreghina 2019". She will be 22 years old next August 4th, she is from Tesero and is about to graduate in languages with the thesis, "Community Development through sport events".
On stage went in alphabetical order Pamela Croce from Ziano di Fiemme, Michela Delvai, Gaia Melillo from Predazzo, Valentina Mongiardo from Cavalese, Carlotta Seber from Castello di Fiemme and Lara Tonini from Molina di Fiemme.
Pamela Croce, 19 years old, the youngest to get involved, attends the Institute La Rosa Bianca in Predazzo and is a good athlete in high jump, Gaia Melillo, 23 years old, attends the university of sciences of primary education in Bolzano and is a great fan of figure skating, Valentina Mongiardo, 23 years, also attends the university of sciences of primary education and has played volleyball for 6 years, Carlotta Seber, 21 years, attends the university of management, sport, tourism and events and has just come back from a long stay of study in Taiwan, Lara Tonini, 22 years old, attends the faculty of economy and management, great sportswoman and former volleyball player. These are the five candidates who challenged Michela Delvai, the Soreghina 2019, who is determined, solar, has a "C1" in English and German, B2 in French and A1 in Polish. She loves sport and is devoted to volunteering. She has collaborated as a volunteer in the Nordic Ski World Cup races of Val di Fiemme and in the Marcialonga races, and describes herself as "a promoter of Fiemme Valley”. In short, Michela Delvai is the ambassador of Marcialonga's values and objectives.
There were many congratulations for the new “Soreghina” from the "outgoing" Soreghina Eleonora Dellantonio, from the Scario Giacomo Boninsegna, from Tonet and from Corradini, who will face the next 12 months with her, crowning the winners of the Marcialonga events.
It was a night to remember. For the General Manager Davide Stoffie, the President Marcialonga and the new Soreghina it is already time to focus on Marcialonga Coop, the running event scheduled for September 2nd.
