The athletes of theRun2gether Austria-Kenia project, initiative created to support social projects and to improve the life of young athletes coming from disadvantaged countries, joined the Marcialonga Coop, starting on Sunday at 9.30 from Moena (TN). Geoffrey Githuku Chege, Caroline Makandi Gitonga, John Kiprop Kosgei e Stephen Ndege, will run in Fiemme and Fassa valleys and fight along the track with Fabrizio Pradetto, Maurizia Cunico, Alessandro Degasperi, Anna Zilio e Federica Moroni; remembering the leaders of the Combinata Punto3 Craft Thomas Bormolini and Chiara Caminada and the relay racers of the Team Robinson, preparing for the winter season: Lorenzo Busin, Francesco Ferrari, Bruno Debertolis, Caterina Piller, Francesco e Stefania Corradini.

Inscriptions are still open and many surprises are on the way, but remember that the preferential entries at the prices of 35 euros individual, 75 euros for the three relay racers are ending tomorrow and will later be slightly changed.

A curious story concerning another participant is the one of Ousman Jaiteh; He sailed from Gambia to Trentino on a boat, passing in Libia and in Lampedusa in order to escape political persecution. The story of Ousman Jaiteh is an example of how the integration can run from sea to asphalt, from south to north through a passion: running. This passion was born in Trentino (in Borgo Valsugana) only as a way of spending some free time; the other runners used to daily see an unknown lightning fast runner, which over time has become well-known thanks to his excellent results.

The entertainment of Marcialonga Coop will start already on Saturday at the Navalge Theatre in Moena, the Expo Village will be set up there and will offer interesting products and the possibility, thanks to IRIFOR, to get a free eye check up. It will be possible to collect bibs at 9.30am-12.30/ 2.30-7pm at the race office. At 11.30 am will start the Warm up run, a 4 km run along the streets of Moena where you will even have the possibility to test Saucony and Salomon shoes. At 2.30 pm there will be a fun new, the Street Workout, starting at the Navalge Theatre with music; Zumba and fitness in Piaz de Sotegrava, the starting point of the main race, will follow. The younger ones can have fun with Braciacoi, clowns of the Croce Rossa, and with the Associazione Bambi from 4 pm, right before the start of our non-competitive run dedicated to children from 6 to 12 years. The Aperitivo Solidale (6pm), offered by our charity partner Sport Senza Frontiere will close our moltitude of events on Saturday.

On Sunday the 2^nd of September things will get more serious, the bib distribution will be 7.30-9am and the official start of the race will be at 9.30 am. A beautiful 26km adventure that will close with our pasta party at the Palafiemme in Cavalese; final celebrations and prize draw for every participant will take place  in Cavalese, Piazza Italia at 1.30 pm.
