Nordic sports lovers you better watch out, the time to register has come. The 43rd Marcialonga di Fiemme e Fassa ski-marathon in classic technique will take place next 31st January, but entries for Italy’s most popular winter event will officially open on Wednesday 1st July, 2015 at 3.00 pm. All entries for the race are done via an online registration (www.marcialonga.it) and a credit card payment system, and once the transaction is completed, the registration might be considered valid and the countdown to the next Marcialonga winter race may officially start off. The entry fee is now 75 Euro and since last year’s bibs went sold out in 10 minutes only, all XC passionates better not waste any time and register.
Thousands of skiers from all over the planet took part in last January’s Marcialonga and Tord Asle Gjerdalen of Norway and Austrian Katerina Smutna seized the victory.
Together with the Sunday’s race – along the two 70k and 45k courses – several side events have already been scheduled such as the Marcialonga Story vintage event on the eve of the main race, that will once again celebrate cross country by wearing vintage outfits and historical skis and equipments. Entries are open and all information are available on www.marcialonga.it.
The 2016 Marcialonga ski-marathon is member of the Worldloppet family and one of the main legs of the Ski Classics series.
