SKIRI TROPHY + MARCIALONGA = SKIRILONGA

Two events, connected by enthusiasm and athleticism

Skirilonga is the name that joins two historical cross-country events: Marcialonga and Skiri Trophy. It is not only a name, but also a project that combines two or more generations of skiers and two Organizing Committees, that have always shared a relationship of respect and friendship.

The participation to the combined event is reserved to two participants of the same family (mother, father, son, and daughter) in their own category of Skiri Trophy and 70km Marcialonga. Skiri Trophy will occur on 20^th and 21^st January 2019 in Lago di Tesero and Marcialonga on 27^th January 2019 along the slopes of Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa.

The project has several purposes. Both Organizing Committees would like to spread the feeling of Marcialonga to the younger skiers hoping that they will be the future participants to the event. At the same time, the project aims at promoting the participation to the children race among the adult participants encouraging their children to practice this magnificent and instructive discipline.

The combined event is moreover a strong mean for the promotion of cross-country skiing and the territory of Trentino, Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. Working together allows to spread more effectively this message.

The participation to Skirilonga is free of charge; you will only need to fill in a registration form.

From a technical point of view, the placement will be calculated by adding the times of both performances and, in order to put both performances at the same level, we will use an equaliser algorithm. The first three couples will win a voucher so that their children can take part in Marcialonga and a weekend-stay for two people. The stays are kindly offered by Agritur Maso Pertica in Castello di Fiemme, Hotel Alpino in Varena and Hotel Maria in Carano.
