The 52nd Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa will be held on Sunday 26th January 2025
Registration for worldwide cross-country skiers now open, Sportful suits up for grabs
The Ski Classics ‘event of the year’ is the first of the Grand Classics
On 22nd March, it is time to fly to Norway for the arctic ‘Marcialonga Bodø’
The Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa is a real institution in the panorama of narrow skis and on January 26th, 2025, will once again display from Moena to Cavalese the great spectacle that has distinguished it for over half a century.
Registration for the Italians for the 52nd edition started a few weeks ago and is proceeding at a more than brisk pace: already more than 1500 cross-country skiers have grabbed a bib, numbers that are constantly increasing and will triple by the end of summer. But the 70 km of excitement of Marcialonga are a “global” experience, loved and established among cross-country skiers all over the world who thanks to the opening to worldwide registration, can now join the new edition. The rates will remain fixed until the end of summer and among who will register by June 5th, 4 ski suits signed Sportful will be drawn and raffled, to make their experience on narrow skis with Marcialonga even more special.
Last year's edition had twice made the Norwegian anthem resound on the podium of Cavalese thanks to the victories of Emilie Fleten and Runar Skaug Mathisen, who with a splendid solo action had imposed themselves on the competition in what is one of the most symbolic races of the international Ski Classics circuit. For cross-country skiers in the world's most important long-distance championship, being at the start of Marcialonga is a real dream and winning it means entering the Olympus of the discipline. With its undisputed charm, the presence of the ski marathon is unquestionable in the Ski Classics calendar. Furthermore, Marcialonga is also part of the elite quartet of the ‘Grand Classics’, the group of the most important races of the circuit, in which the Italian ski marathon is included together with the Jizerská50 (Czech Republic), the Vasaloppet (Sweden) and the Birkebeinerrennet (Norway). As the sixth event of the Ski Classics season, the Marcialonga 2025 will inaugurate the ‘Grand Classics’ season and will make the last weekend of January special for the umpteenth time, on the strength, among others, of the title of “event of the year” conquered at the end of last season.
On 6th June the registration for Marcialonga Bodø will open, the “arctic” cousin of Marcialonga, born from the synergy between Marcialonga Italy and Norway, which after its successful debut in the 2024 season, is ready to reaffirm itself at the highest level by becoming part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour. On March 22nd, 2025, skiing will take place between the picturesque old town of the Norwegian city of Bodø and the uncontaminated territory that surrounds it, immersed in the beauty of the Norwegian Arctic forest and its breathtaking views, a stone's throw from the legendary Lofoten Islands and the majestic Børvasstindan mountains.
In the Predazzo headquarters of the organising committee, the 52nd edition of Marcialonga is in the pipeline, with president Angelo Corradini's team hard at work to guarantee the magnificent sporting spectacle, and not only, of the Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa.
