MARCIALONGA & L'EROICA

While waiting for the Marcialonga Story, the event that in 2013 will celebrate with old-fashioned equipment the 40^th anniversary of the race, its organising committee promotes the creation of a Register of vintage cross-country skis, with the purpose of gathering news, data and pictures of skis constructed before the year 1976, but still functional. The register will contain numbered certificates with all the details of the ski: brand, model and year of production, the height, identification number and colour. It has not been a brand new project, as the inspiration source comes from the bicycle register made by L’Eroica, the cycling race that goes through the Tuscany hills. So why not changing experiences, ideas and advise? The twinning between the Marcialonga & L’Eroica has born naturally and will grow in the future always with an eye on the past. Although equipments are different, they both represent deep efforts and epic performances in the world of sport.  

 The Official Ceremony of the twinning between the two associations is scheduled at the Congress Palace in Cavalese, Saturday Jan. 29^th at 5.00 p.m.
