One of the many news of the 2011 edition of Marcialonga is the Marcialonga Young, unique opportunity to see in action on a shortened course the young talents of the cross-country skiing.
The Marcialonga Organising Committee, in co-operation with the Cornacci Ski Team Tesero, organises a promotional race open to young skiers (born from 1991 to 1996), members of the National Associations belonging to F.I.S., who cannot take part in the Marcialonga long race but still want to be protagonists of the Italian famous event.
On January 30th, starting from Lago di Tesero and arriving in Cavalese, the race will follow the last part of the course of Marcialonga over two distances, 9 and 14 km, to be covered only in Classic Technique. The aim of this initiative is to bring more young skiers to fall in love with this sport discipline, and to act as forerunners to the champions that will follow few hours later could really be thrilling and satisfying. The Cascata Climb and the arrival in the Mendini Street, or the prize giving ceremony on the same podium, is a good reason to participate.
